Program of meeting of CIS Council of Defense Ministers unveiled

On October 30, Baku will host a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Report informs citing the CIS Executive Committee that the members of the Council will consider the draft concept of military cooperation of the CIS countries until 2025 and the main directions of development of the joint system of control and assessment of radiation, chemical and biological situation of the ministries of defense of the CIS member states until 2025.

The meeting will summarize the results of the International Army Games-2019, consider the training of officers for the armed forces of the Commonwealth States, the International festival of innovative scientific ideas "Start in science" and preparation for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the victory.

Moreover, it is planned to outline joint activities of the joint air defense system of the CIS countries in 2020, to discuss the activities of the basic organization of the CIS member States (Military University of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation) for the training of military and humanitarian specialists and the organization of information support for joint activities of multilateral military cooperation.

The results of the development of military cooperation of the Commonwealth States in 2019 will also be summed up and the work plam of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS Member States for 2020 will be outlined.

The meeting will also consider a number of financial, personnel and organizational issues.
