Report informs citing the Georgian media, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.
The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked President for the warm welcome and drew attention to the dynamics of the development of economic relations.
"According to the recently published statistics, Azerbaijan ranks first on the number of visitors to Georgia, which makes us very happy. The strategic projects you mentioned - the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project, the Southern Gas Corridor project, which later joins the Trans-Anatolian and Trans-Adriatic gas corridors - are invaluable both from the economic and geostrategic point of view, "Kvirikashvili stressed.
The head of government said that Georgia always supports the position of Azerbaijan in global projects and this is natural, based on the strategic partnership of the two countries.
"I also want to congratulate you on the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the first independent republic, which is a very important date for Georgia and Azerbaijan, and I very much hope that we will celebrate it worthy," Kvirikashvili said.
