The President of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, former Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago and Permanent Representative to the UN, Dennis Francis, will visit Azerbaijan to participate in the 11th Global Forum to be held in Baku on March 15, Spokesperson of the President of the General Assembly, Monica Grayley, told the US Bureau of Report.
“While speaking at the forum, the President will emphasize the need for solidarity, dialogue, and diplomacy to overcome the ongoing geopolitical tension in the world and restore international cooperation,” she said.
Grayley added that the President of the UN General Assembly will also participate in the panel discussion on the goals that can be set for the COP29 conference to be held in Baku from November 11 to 22.
The spokesperson also pointed out that the president will hold meetings with a number of government and state representatives in Baku.
