President of Belarus to visit Azerbaijan

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will embark on a visit to Azerbaijan on April 13, Report informs citing BelTA.

According to the Belarusian president's press service, during the two-day visit, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will hold two meetings. One of them will take place immediately upon the Belarusian leader's arrival in Baku. In an informal atmosphere, the heads of state will discuss the main directions of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations and strategic issues of bilateral cooperation.

The official part of the talks is scheduled for Wednesday. The presidents will meet in narrow and expanded formats with the participation of members of the delegations. The main focus will be on developing trade and economic interaction and filling cooperation with new content. The parties will consider issues of industrial cooperation, implementation of current and future projects in food production and supply, processing of agricultural products. They will also touch upon no less relevant topics: cooperation in health care, scientific and technical, educational, and tourism spheres.

The two leaders will also exchange views on topical issues on the international agenda. Bilateral documents are expected to be signed by the results of talks.
