"Today, we have also established an Interstate Council. The meetings of the Council will focus on the most important issues in the development of relations between our countries," President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said in a joint statement with President Ilham Aliyev.
Japarov said that ten essential documents and agreements were signed in several fields, including cooperation in agriculture, information technology, aviation, antitrust laws, and intellectual property protection. "We have ample opportunities for practical cooperation in trade and economic spheres. Today we are taking steps to liberalize our economy. Investment legislation is being improved, and in this regard, the Kyrgyz Republic is intensifying investment cooperation with many countries. Therefore, we invite Azerbaijani business circles to study investment opportunities in our country actively."
"I am very pleased to note that our peoples are mutually enriched through active cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Cultural figures hold regular exchanges and create conditions for strengthening real bridges of friendship between our peoples. We are interested in strengthening bilateral relations with Azerbaijan and expanding multilateral cooperation. As is known, our countries closely cooperate within the UN, the Organization of Turkic States, the CIS, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement. Kyrgyzstan fully supports raising the status of Azerbaijan in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to the level of an observer," the President added.
