President Ilham Aliyev receives Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina Ismail Serageldin

Baku. 26 June. REPORT.AZ/ President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received co-chair of Nizami Ganjavi International Centre, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Ismail Serageldin.

Report informs, President Ilham Aliyev said director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Ismail Serageldin was honoured with one of the high state awards of Azerbaijan, “Dostlug” (Friendship) Order, for his activity as a co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre, and presented him with the Order.

Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Ismail Serageldin thanked for conferring one of the high state awards of Azerbaijan, “Dostlug” Order, upon him, saying he was honoured to receive the Order.

Describing Nizami Ganjavi as Azerbaijan`s contribution to humanity, Ismail Serageldin said the Bibliotheca Alexandrina published a perfect Arabic language book about Nizami Ganjavi and presented the first copy of the book to the head of state. He noted that the organization of meetings of great politicians was not the only goal of the Centre, adding it also aims to create conditions for people to increase their knowledge about Nizami Ganjavi.

The head of state praised Ismail Serageldin`s activity as a co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre, and stressed the importance of the fact that the Center has become a large international institution.

The parties discussed future activity of Nizami Ganjavi International Centre.
