President Ilham Aliyev: "It's a great honor for us to host this event"

Baku. 26 April. REPORT.AZ/ " It is a great honor for Azerbaijan to host the VII Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC).

Report informs, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the opening ceremony of VII Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations in Baku.

The head of state said that it was an important step to establish the Alliance: "Our country is not only a bridge between East and West, there has always been multiculturalism. Azerbaijan is a multi-religious country. We are proud of our historical monuments. Different nations lived and worked in this country."

According to him, Azerbaijan in terms of the independence is a young state. "Multiculturalism is our state policy. We have launched significant measures in this regard", the President said.
