On the initiative of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), a videoconference took place between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Secretary-General of the UNWTO Zurab Pololikashvili.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is the United Nations agency responsible for the promotion of responsible, sustainable, and universally accessible tourism.

As the leading international organization in the field of tourism, UNWTO promotes tourism as a driver of economic growth, inclusive development, and environmental sustainability. It also offers leadership and support to the sector in advancing knowledge and tourism policies worldwide.

An intergovernmental organization, UNWTO has 156 member states, six associate members, two permanent observers, and over 400 affiliate members.
