Pope will not attend the funeral of Shimon Peres

Baku. 29 September. REPORT.AZ/ Pope Francis I will not be able to attend uneral of former President of Israel Shimon Peres due to the planned visit to Georgia and Azerbaijan. Report informs, the Vatican said.

According to the Georgian media, the Georgian President's administration confirmed that the pontiff's visit to Tbilisi will be held according to the planned schedule.

Francis I will arrive in Georgia on September 30. On the same day, Shimon Peres will be buried in Jerusalem.

On October 2 morning hours, Pope Francis I will travel from Tbilisi to Baku.
