Political scientist: Putin will definitely 'teach a lesson' to Pashinyan because of his arbitrariness

In fact, the tripartite meeting was scheduled for November 9, but Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan extended it under various pretexts, political scientist Samir Humbatov told Report.

"But after an agreement on the Brussels meeting to be held on December 15 was reached, Moscow wanted to overtake the West. In my opinion, Russian President Vladimir Putin will not forgive Pashinyan for prolonging the process and definitely 'give the Armenian PM a black eye' due to his arbitrariness. I do not believe that serious agreements will be reached at the meeting, but it is likely that Nikol Pashinyan will be instructed about the conference in Brussels. He will be told what to say and how to say it," Humbatov said.

According to him, the resumption of military operations in the future is not excluded: "Russia plays a crucial role in opening the Zangazur corridor and communications. Armenia's position is secondary. If Moscow agrees, but Yerevan is stubborn again, we can conduct a peacekeeping operation. The final peace agreement has not been signed yet, a temporary ceasefire has been declared. At the same time, provocations by Armenia are not excluded since they have been accustomed to this "game" for thirty years and are expected until the final peace treaty is signed. Even large-scale military operations are no exception. Because the Armenian Generality fulfills the tasks not only of its government but also of Russia, so, the Azerbaijani Army must always be ready for this."

A trilateral meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will be held in Sochi today. Pashinyan showed disrespect to Russia by not attending the meeting scheduled for November 9 and leaning towards the West in his foreign policy. This can affect the relationship between the parties.
