PM: Georgia supports peaceful dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Georgia supports the peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and this is in the interests of the entire region, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili said before attending the European Political Community summit in Moldova, Report informs via Sputnik-Armenia.

"We support peaceful dialogue and negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. I believe that this is in our interests - Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia - the entire region," Garibashvili said.

At the same time, he stressed that Georgia maintains very good relations with both countries.

At the end of 2021, Garibashvili launched the Peaceful Neighborhood Initiative. The prime minister proposed to the neighbors the creation of a regional platform for informal dialogue between the parties. In July 2022, the first meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan was held in Tbilisi.
