Report

Baku. 20 September. REPORT.AZ / Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Dastan Jumabekov visited the TURKPA Secretariat in Baku.

Report informs that during the visit Jumabekov said TURKPA member-states have a great potential: “Relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are not just diplomatic, but fraternal. We have always been united and it will continue in such a way . The Turkic-speaking countries have a great potential and we should use it properly and support each other."

Dastan Jumabekov also noted that Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan intend to increase economic cooperation.

"Today, the trade turnover between our countries is only $ 5 mln, which does not meet our demands. Therefore, we are considering new opportunities to expand our cooperation. In addition, we have proposed the Azerbaijani side to open direct flights Baku - Bishkek in the near future," Jumabekov concluded.

Notably, this year TURKPA is presided by Kyrgyzstan.
