PACE elects temporary president

Strasbourg. 10 October. REPORT.AZ/ Temporary president has today been elected to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
France Bureau of Report News Agency informs, Stella Kyriakides (Cyprus) was elected as a temporary president by a secret voting at the opening of the PACE autumn session.
Notably, after Pedro Agramunt's resignation, there were two candidates for PACE presidential post.
During the secret voting, Stella Kyriakides collected 132 votes, Emanuelis Zingeris (Lithuania) just 88.
She will hold the post till January 8, 2018.
