OTS Secretary General condemns attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran - STATEMENT

The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) strongly condemns the armed attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran on January 27, 2023, the killing of the head of the embassy's security service and the wounding of two security personnel as a result of violence.

In his statement, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev called on the Iranian authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into this violent attack and bring the perpetrators to justice:

"We offer our deepest condolences to the family of the officer who lost his life today, and we wish a speedy recovery the injured."
