Number of appeals to French court by Azerbaijani migrants decreased over past 4 years

The number of Azerbaijani migrants applying to the French National Court of Asylum (CNDA) has decreased over the past 4 years.

French bureau of Report informs that this happened after the French refugee department reacted negatively to requests for asylum.

As a result, since 2015, the number of applications to the National Court on the right to asylum from Azerbaijani migrants kept on falling over the re-examination of their cases.

So, in 2015, the number of Azerbaijanis who applied to the court decreased by 15.5% compared to the previous year, 12.8% in 2016, 28.3% in 2017, and 17.8% in 2018.

Notably, the French National Asylum Court in 2018 received 900% more requests from migrants from Kuwait, 766.7% from Brazil, 600% from Uganda compared with the previous year.
