Baku. 19 February. REPORT.AZ/ The next meeting of the high-level working group on the Caspian sea is to be held in the coming months," Ambassador for special assignments of the Russian Foreign Ministry Igor Bratchikov said.
"First of all, we need to discuss how the decision of the Fifth Caspian summit is implemented. Secondly, it is necessary to exchange (as yet in general meaning) the approach to the agreement on drawing direct baselines on the Caspian sea, on which the division of territorial waters and fishing zones will depend. Here, the parties will present their submissions, and finally we should agree on the rules of procedure, since the working group has been established not for a year, but for the duration of the Convention. Therefore, the rhythm of the works carried out by the working group for decades and beyond depends on how we work out these rules, " Bratchikov said.
He also noted that he looks forward to the next meeting of the high-level working group on the Caspian sea in the coming months.
