New Japanese ambassador presents copy of his credentials to Elmar Mammadyarov

Baku. 5 April. REPORT.AZ/ Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov received newly appointed ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Teruyuki Katori.

Report was informed in press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Japanese Ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

Minister Mammadyarov congratulated Ambassador Teruyuki Katori on his appointment and wished him success in his future activities.

Ambassador Teruyuki Katori stated that he will spare no efforts for further development of relations between the two countries.

At the meeting successful development of bilateral relations in various areas between Azerbaijan and Japan were noted and the level of cooperation particularly in political and energy fields was commended. Favorable opportunities for the cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, tourism, transportation, agriculture, pharmaceutics and medicine were also mentioned.

Minister Elmar Mammadyarov expressed his appreciation for Japan’s support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

At the meeting views were also exchanged on the issues of mutual interest.
