Baku. 24 August. REPORT.AZ/ The new head of EU delegation in Azerbaijan, Kestutis Jankauskas will arrive in Baku in the first half of September.

K. Jankauskas will start his duties after presenting his credentials to the President of Azerbaijan.
As Report has informed earlier, in August Lithuanian diplomat Kestutis Jankauskas was appointed to the post of head of the EU delegation in Azerbaijan, succeeding Malena Mard.
Notably, K. Jankauskas had been working at the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1991 and previously worked at the embassies of Lithuania in Washington and Stockholm. Prior to his appointment to Azerbaijan, he led the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia.
