New EU Special Representative for South Caucasus will arrive in Azerbaijan

Baku. 1 December. REPORT.AZ/ Toivo Klaar, the new EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Crisis in Georgia, will visit Azerbaijan next week.

Report informs referring to the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, during the visit on 4-5 December, Klaar will hold meetings with a number of state officials.

This will be Klaar’s first visit to Baku after being appointed to the post.

Notably, on November 13, the EU Council approved his candidacy for the post of EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Crisis in Georgia.

Toivo Klaar succeeded Ambassador Herbert Salber, who held this position on July 8, 2014.
