New Council of Europe Action Plan for Azerbaijan presented Azerbaijan is building ties with international organizations based on equality and mutual interests. The approved action plan will open up new opportunities for cooperation with the Council of Europe, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Mahmud Mammadquliyev said speaking at the presentation of the new Council of Europe Action Plan for Azerbaijan for 2018-2021.

New Council of Europe Action Plan for Azerbaijan presented

"Azerbaijan is building ties with international organizations based on equality and mutual interests. The approved action plan will open up new opportunities for cooperation with the Council of Europe," Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Mahmud Mammadquliyev said speaking at the presentation of the new Council of Europe Action Plan for Azerbaijan for 2018-2021.

"The action plan designed for four years lays a basis for practical cooperation with the Council of Europe. It features many issues of interest for our country. The development of democratic society in Azerbaijan is a main goal of our policy. And in this respect the cooperation with the Council of Europe is very important to us," he noted.

He also said that new spheres of cooperation will be presented besides the judicial sphere, fight against corruption, trafficking in human beings.

"The gender equality, human rights; youth development and other issues will be included into the new plan. I consider that the Council of Europe shares the same values," the deputy minister said.
