Nazarbayev: We have big opportunities to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan

Baku. 5 April. RPEORT.AZ/ “Kazakhstan always kept friendly relations with neighbors. On April 3 I was in Azerbaijan. We have big opportunities to expand cooperation”.

Report informs, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev told during his visit to Mangystau region.

Meeting with representatives of local community Kazakhstan president noted growth of specific weight of Mangystau in national industry during years of independence.

Nazarbayev focused on necessity of harnessing potential of cross-border cooperation.

“Kazakhstan always kept friendly relations with neighbors. Yesterday I was in Azerbaijan. We have big opportunities to expand cooperation. During last years, mutual trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Mangystau region grew five-fold. Your region is an important transit hub linking Kazakhstan with global and regional markets. It is necessary to take full advantage of a huge potential”, head of state noted.
