Moscow hosts meeting of CIS Security Council secretaries

Baku. 21 November. REPORT.AZ / Secretary of the Russian Security Council  Nikolai Patrushev started the annual meeting of the Security Council Secretaries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Moscow.

Report informs citing the Russian press that the head of the presidential administration of Azerbaijan Ramiz Mehdiyev is attending the meeting.

Patrushev said that during the meeting, heads of delegations will discuss problems of common threats and challenges for the CIS member-states.

These issues include ensuring national and international security in the CIS, including the direction of joint work to prevent financing of terrorism, combating the legalization of proceeds from crime.

The meeting is also attended by Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev, acting Secretary General of the CSTO Valery Semerikov, representatives of the Security Councils, ministries, departments and scientific organizations of the CIS member-states.
