Moscow. 6 March. REPORT.AZ/ The meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov has started today in Moscow.
Moscow correspondent of Report News Agency informs, during the meeting the sides will discuss prospects of bilateral cooperation, key aspects of regional and international agenda, including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.

"I agree with your assessment of development of friendship relations and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Russian Federation. We actually did a good job to increase trade turnover between our countries. Though, probably, it is necessary to admit that you need to make more effort to increase trade for several times", Mammadyarov said at the meeting.
According to minister, during 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, relations between the two countries haven’t undergone major upheavals.
E. Mammadyarov noted that Russian language is loved and honored in Azerbaijan, there are a large number of schools studying Russian in the country. "I think it's a very good sign that we are moving in the right direction", he added.
Remind, E. Mammadyarov is on an official visit to Russia on March 5-7.
