Mogherini: EU supports territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan

Baku. 9 February. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan is an important partner for the European Union (EU), and the EU supports territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

Report informs, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and European Security Policy, Federica Mogherini stated at the press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov following the 15th meeting of the European Union-Azerbaijan Cooperation Council in Brussels.

She noted that during the meeting all major aspects of bilateral cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan were discussed, including the course of negotiations on a new agreement between Azerbaijan and the EU, energy cooperation, trade, etc.

"The Southern Gas Corridor is just one example of our cooperation in the energy sector," Mogherini said.
