Ministry of Energy: Azerbaijan's humanitarian aid to Ukraine exceeds $40M

The total amount of Azerbaijan's humanitarian aid to Ukraine has exceeded $40 million, Alasgar Hasanov, a department head at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy, said in his statement to journalists, Report informs.

According to Hasanov, Azerbaijan has provided humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people several times:

"Nearly 120 transformers and complete transformer stations, about 70 generators, and more than 3.3 million meters of wires and cables have been sent to rebuild the destroyed power supply and create sustainable infrastructure in Ukraine."

According to the decree signed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on February 5, funds equivalent to one million US dollars in manats have been allocated for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
