Minister: Azerbaijan highly appreciates EU contribution to normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations

Azerbaijan highly appreciates the contribution of the EU to the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, the Ecology and Natural Resources Minister of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev said at an event dedicated to Europe Day in Baku, Report informs.

According to the minister, recently there have been high dynamics in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the EU: "This concerns not only the issues of ensuring security in the region, but also the development of relations in the fields of transport, logistics and energy."

Babayev stressed that the export of Azerbaijani gas to the EU countries plays an important role in relations: "This opened a new page in the development of relations between us. The EU is also the main trading partner of Azerbaijan, many companies of EU member states operate in our country."
