Minister: Azerbaijan attaches special importance to strategic cooperation within OTS

Azerbaijan attaches special importance to strategic cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, said at the ministry's year-end press conference held on December 28, Report informs.

He said that Azerbaijan hosted several events of the organization in 2023.

Bayramov said that this year Azerbaijan contributed to the expansion of field cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Thus, a document was accepted regarding the terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran and other issues at the OIC conference held in Mauritania.

According to him, official Baku conducts purposeful work with other member states within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement.

The minister said that a number of measures and implemented work are an example of this: "The Baku Declaration was adopted at the summit held in Azerbaijan. During the presidency of Azerbaijan, some important steps were taken."
