Milli Majlis Chairman: 'We shouldn't pay attention to words of US Helsinki Commission Chair'

Unfortunately, draft law, submitted by him was assessed as shocking event by most of our reporters. What's shocking?! He is only MP. Exaggerating this issue is quite wrong.'

Report informs, Ogtay Asadov, Milli Majlis Chairman said in parliamentary session.

'There are friends of Azerbaijan in US Congress, too, he said: 'Even there are many constructive MPs. I'm sure, that draft law will not be adopted. Discussion of this issue in this period has only one explanation. As we know, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regularly signs pardon decree. Punishments of some persons are reduced. Recently, on the eve of December 31, signing of another pardon decree is expected. Their purpose is that after signing of decree they can say that affected us. Therefore, we should not pay attention to such issues.'
