Migrant from South Azerbaijan: 'We will return to our native lands as soon as the clerical regime steps down'

"I feel that we are witnessing the last days of the black regime in Iran, whose speedy departure we, the political migrants, wish to return to our native lands," Mashallah Ramzi, a human rights activist visiting Aghdam, a researcher from South Azerbaijan, told Report's Karabakh bureau.

He recounted the times when he was one of the leaders of the revolutionaries in Tabriz: “Comparing the current situation with the revolution of that time, I feel that the last days of this Islamic government have come. The flow of people into the streets and fearlessness in front of bullets remind me of those days. I am sure that if the government was not on the verge of an end, people would not come out in the square so courageously. This black government occupied Iran for 43 years. The regime must step down quickly, because people should live freely. We were also forced to leave the country because of this government and now we live the life of political migrants. We would like to return to our native land as soon as possible," he said.
