MFA names reason for closure of Peruvian Embassy in Azerbaijan

"The decision on closure of the Peruvian Embassy in Azerbaijan has to do with the internal situation and financial issues facing this country," Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Leyla Abdullayeva told Report.

"Any country may decide to open or close a diplomatic mission abroad. The Peruvian side decided to close temporarily its representation in Azerbaijan. This decision has to do with the internal situation and financial issues facing this country," she said.

According to the MFA official, the Peruvian side also said that the relations between the two countries will continue at the same level both in the political and economic spheres.
