MFA: Investigation of existence of Azerbaijani citizens among victims and injured of Italy quake is underway

Baku. 24 August. REPORT.AZ/ Investigation of existence of Azerbaijani citizens among victims and injured during strong earthquake in Italy is underway.

Report was told by spokesperson of Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hikmat Hajiyev.

According to him, Azerbaijani Embassy to Italy is investigating the issue with relevant Italian authorities.

Notably, 6.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in central Italy last night. As a result, at least 14 people died and dozens were injured. Many cities were seriously damaged.
