Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu: Turkmenistan intends to become observer in Turkic Council

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow has stated that his country wants to be an observer in the Turkic Council, said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

"Our dream is for Turkmenistan to become a full member of the Council," he noted.

"The renaming of the Turkic Council, which we support, is also on the agenda. The summit of unofficial leaders of the Turkic Council will take place on March 31 in Turkestan, Kazakhstan. At the end of this year, the official summit of the Council will take place in Turkey. The presidency, which we could not get due to the pandemic, will pass to us from Azerbaijan," he noted.
