Meeting of OTS Foreign Ministers kicks off in Samarkand

The 9th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has kicked off in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Report informs.

Azerbaijan is represented at the meeting by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov.

The meeting will discuss the agenda of the November 11 summit of the OTS leaders and the documents to be signed.

At the same time, a strategic action plan for the OTS's future 5-year activity will be adopted at the meeting.

It is also planned to make amendments to the document adopted after the meeting of OTS held in Nakhchivan on October 3, 2009.

Within the framework of the summit, the President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will be awarded the "Highest Medal of the Turkish World" and the National Medal of Uzbekistan.
