There is a large and serious legal framework between Baku and Moscow and bilateral relations are strategic, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a press conference following a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Baku.
"In general, I can say that the whole range of issues has been discussed. Our relationship is a successful example of strategic cooperation," Mammadyarov said.
According to him, the parties signed a Consultation Plan for the foreign affairs agencies of Russia and Azerbaijan for 2020.
He pointed out that trade between countries is growing: “At present, it amounts to $2.5 billion and by the end of the year it can reach $3 billion”, Mammadyarov said.
