Mammadyarov names conditions under which Armenia can join BTK railway

Baku. 2 November. REPORT.AZ/ If Armenia wants to join the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway route, it must first liberate the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. 

Report informs, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a briefing on results of meeting with his Montenegrin counterpart, commenting on possible participation of Armenia in BTK.

“Joint company is being established that will manage the project. But our position is that if Armenia wants to join the project it must first liberate the occupied territories, the conflict must be solved. Position of the official Baku is obvious. This issue must be reviewed by the company,” stated Mammadyarov.

The official opening ceremony of BTK railway was held in Baku, October 30.
