Baku. 16 February. REPORT.AZ/ Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov participated in a roundtable on the energy security on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
Report was informed in the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
At the roundtable discussions were held on current developments of energy security.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov spoke about the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring Europe’s energy security and mentioned the strategic importance of Southern Gas Corridor, TANAP and TAP projects. He noted that the TANAP project will start operating this year, and the construction of TAP project continues successfully according to the schedule.
Moreover, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov informed the participants about the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Advisory Council held in Baku on the 15th February and decisions taken there.
