Kilic: Azerbaijani President's visits to make significant contribution to unification of Turkic world

Azerbaijani President's visit to Kyrgyzstan contributes to the unification of the Turkic world, Director of the Eurasian Research Center of Turkiye Alev Kilic said.

"The signing of the Nakhchivan agreement in 2009 marked the beginning of the creation of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, one of the initiators of which was Azerbaijan," he said.

According to the director of the Eurasian Research Center, today this process has already been institutionalized as the Organization of Turkic States and has acquired the status of an international organization.

"We consider the visits of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Baku as attempts to continue cooperation in this direction and we believe that they make a significant contribution to the unification of the Turkic world," Kilic said.
