Baku. 12 December. REPORT.AZ / Kazakhstan plans to conclude an agreement with Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of migration in order to identify persons with dual citizenship, Kazakhstan Interior Minister Kalmukhambet Kassymov said.

Report informs that he spoke during the plenary session of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic.

During the meeting, chaired by the speaker of the chamber Nurlan Nigmatulin, the deputies approved the draft law "On ratification of the Agreement between the government of Kazakhstan and the government of the Republic of Tajikistan on cooperation in the field of migration", that will regulate the issues of dual citizenship.

According to the Interior Minister, all persons with dual citizenship were mainly identified by the border services.

"Most of the 15 thousand were mainly identified by the border services and our social services. And if we sign this agreement, we will exchange our citizen left there, took citizenship, we will receive a message that he was granted citizenship. This is the first such agreement, we are planning such agreements with Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Georgia too," the Minister said.
