Kadri Simson: Azerbaijan stabilizes EU gas market

Azerbaijan plays an important role in diversifying energy supplies to the European Union, while stabilizing its gas market, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson said at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.
According to Report, she said since her first visit to Azerbaijan, the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU in the energy sector has strengthened significantly.
Simson emphasized that Azerbaijani gas supplies to Europe will play an important role in the energy transition process.
The commissioner stressed the need for more dialogue and cooperation.
She added that the sides had agreed on many key issues.
Collective ambitions in this region will increase gas supplies by 2027, she said.
