There are more countries that want to join the green energy corridor project jointly implemented by Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, and Romania, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili in Baku, Report informs.
Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan and Georgia have played a major role in changing the geoeconomic and energy landscape of a wider region:
"Increasing the cargo capacity of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars from 1 million to 5 million tons is of great importance in increasing its competitiveness. There are also several projects currently being implemented. Among them, the formation of a new green energy corridor, implementation of which began in 2022, plays a major role as a potential global project. Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, and Romania are among its initial implementers. However, there are other countries that want to join."
