Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation led by Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Kamarudin Jaffar, Report informs, citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia, stressing that Malaysia unequivocally supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. In particular, Azerbaijan's high assessment of Malaysian support during the 44-day war was noted.
Deputy Minister Kamarudin Jaffar informed about the bilateral meetings held during his visit to Azerbaijan. He noted that for the further development of relations between the countries, it is important to continue joint activities in specific areas.
The parties exchanged views on the possibilities for developing cooperation between the two countries in the economic, trade, energy sectors, including alternative energy, as well as in the humanitarian, educational, tourism and other fields.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of successful cooperation carried out within the framework of international organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement.
