Jeyhun Bayramov meets Russian roving ambassador

On July 22, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Igor Khovayev, special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties exchanged views on the current situation in the region and the steps taken in various directions within the framework of normalising relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The parties emphasized the importance of full implementation of the tripartite statements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia to ensure peace and security in the region. The importance of mobilizing all efforts to advance the normalization process and achieve concrete results was noted.

Other regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
