On Feb. 16, the government of Japan decided to extend Emergency Grant Aid of $4.8 million in response to the humanitarian crisis caused by the armed conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Report informs referring to the press service of the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
Of these, $1.2 million will be allocated to Azerbaijan.
Assistance is aimed at improving living conditions, such as home renovations and medical services, and the provision of basic necessities through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), UNICEF, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
