Baku. 26 March. REPORT.AZ/ Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsun Pak Ayin expressing his concern over gravity of situation in Yemen and loss of lives of innocent ordinary people, urged world community and peace loving, and particularly regional countries to take action for immediate stop of military action against Yemen. Report informs, the Ambassador said that to journalists: " The military operation against an independent state, contradicts sovereignty of the state, breaches international norms and it will only end in killing of innocent people, destruction and displacement."
The Ambassador added that silence of international organizations and bodies' visa-a-visa aggression against independent states, including Syria, will result in deepening of the crisis in the region and he hoped that the mistake of the world community will not be repeated in Yemen. He reiterated that Iran closely follows developments in Yemen: "The internal Yemeni conflict should be settled peacefully through negotiations without intervention of foreign countries.The Islamic Republic of Iran, as a peace loving country, will try to harness the crisis and prevent violation of international laws and regulations in Yemen."
"Since the beginning of the crisis in Yemen, Iran called for talks among Yemeni groups and declared that military intervention of the third countries will further deepen the crisis and abet terrorism and extremism in the country and the region", the Ambassador stated.
