President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held an informal meeting in Baku on April 13 as part of the Belarusian leader's visit.
Report informs referring to BelTA that the negotiations lasted for about five hours.
Lukashenko headed for a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan immediately after he arrived in Baku. They met at around 07.00 pm local time, and informal negotiations continued until midnight.
It is still unknown what issues the leaders discussed. But earlier, the press service of the President of Belarus reported that the heads of state would consider "the main directions of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations and strategic issues of bilateral cooperation."
On April 14, Ilham Aliyev and Alexander Lukashenko will hold official talks.
