Baku. 17 November. REPORT.AZ/ "There are special relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus. The relations between our states are based on mutual understanding, partnership and friendship. This, first of all, is relations and friendship at the level of heads of states and serves the development of relations, strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Belarus", Deputy Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev told journalists, Report informs.
According to him, it was an exceptional case in diplomatic relations and protocol that, Azerbaijani ambassador to Belarus was received by Belarusian President and development perspectives of cooperation between the two countries were discussed: ‘At the same time, Azerbaijani President received Belarusian ambassador to Azerbaijan. As an exception to the rules of diplomatic protocol, wide discussions on development of Azerbaijan-Belarus cooperation were held.
"Today, the relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus envisage political, economic, trade, military and technical, cultural, humanitarian and other fields and trade turnover quickly increases. At the same time, head of our state is planned to visit Belarus soon. Such high visits between our countries are intensive and numerous documents are planned to be signed within this visit. We think that this visit will contribute to development of relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus", - Hikmet Hajiyev said.
