Former Turkish FM: Ongoing occupation of territories of Azerbaijan is a shame for international community

Today, the only country that lost in the region is Armenia.

Report informs, the former Foreign Minister of Turkey, Hikmet Çetin, said at a conference on "100th Anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Service” in Baku.

"Armenia still continues the aggression and occupation of the territories of Azerbaijan. This is a shame for the international community. If they want to enjoy the benefits in the region, then it is necessary to abandon the policy of hostility and occupation. We talked a lot about this with Armenian diplomats in the 90s, but they evaded all contact”, - he said.

He also noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are very strong, the countries are implementing a number of large-scale joint projects.

"Azerbaijan can be proud of its foreign policy. As long as Azerbaijan is strong, Turkey is strong," he concluded.
