Hikmat Hajiyev: Relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing successfully in the spirit of strategic partnership

Baku. 4 October. REPORT.AZ/ "The relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing successfully on the basis of good neighborliness and mutual respect in the spirit of strategic partnership. Two meetings hosted by Baku and Sochi in September on the level of heads of states is a unique example," Deputy Head of the Foreign Affairs Department at the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told Report.

He underlined that the sincere dialogue and regular meetings based on trust and friendship between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin are of particular importance in the comprehensive development of our relations: "The high level of relations based on trust and mutually beneficial cooperation indicate that bilateral relations are developing in the format of interregional cooperation. The 9th Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum opened by the heads of states who also delivered speeches within the forum promises new perspectives for further development of cooperation. The cooperation based on traditional friendship between our countries is continued in multilateral frameworks. "
