Head of Swiss-Azerbaijani friendship group arrives in Baku

Baku. 12 June. REPORT.AZ/ Filippo Lombardi, the head of the Swiss parliament friendship group with Azerbaijan arrived in Baku to participate in the opening ceremony of the European Games on June 12.

A total of 20 kinds of sport will be held in Baku 2015: 16 of them are Olympic sports, while 4 are non-Olympic sports. 

More than 6,000 athletes from different European countries are expected to represent their country during the 17 days of competition. Eleven kinds of sport will contribute to obtain a license for 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
