Governor: Heydar Aliyev always provided great support to Georgian state and people

Baku. 12 December. REPORT.AZ/ “Late President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev always provided a great support to the Georgian state and people,” Kvemo Kartli governor Shota Rekhviashvili said.

Report’s Georgian bureau informs that, according to Rekhviashvili, Heydar Aliyev played a great role in Azerbaijan’s revival.

“Several very important projects with the joint participation of Azerbaijan and Georgia have been implemented on Heydar Aliyev’s initiative. Such major projects as the revival of the Great Silk Road and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline served to strengthening of the Georgian sovereignty. We, the citizens of Georgia, always commemorate Heydar Aliyev and express our gratitude to him.”

The governor also stressed that the relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan are developing and further expanding: “We wish success to Heydar Aliyev’s follower, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and prosperity to the friendly people of Azerbaijan.”
